Now, a high tech company says you were correct:  it is the work of ex-employee/hackers, while the FBI says it was North Korea.

President Obama announced, days after the story broke, that it was North Korea.  The security industry said that this was way too early to know.

Eventually, the FBI met with the security experts and the twain did not agree:

The FBI is sticking to blaming North Korea, but the civil  investigators say that every North Korean lead was followed and was not true.  They believe the FBI is forced into this position due to the President's premature announcement.

4 Month Old Baby Taken Off Life Support UPDATE

Baby taken off life support, police investigating death

A 4-month-old baby was taken off life support Monday dying in an Alabama hospital.

The baby's family in Warren is demanding answers, even blaming each other, while police down south investigate.

Gene McInvale was admitted to a hospital on Christmas day.  Gene was put on life support from which he would never recover.

His family says the child  was abused most of his life.

"He has a skull fracture, three fractured ribs, bruising around his legs," said Kathryn Horle, baby Gene's aunt. "And we just found out he is legally blind."

One side of the family blames the father, James McInvale, Jr. but he said he left Warren for Alabama because his wife's family was "toxic"

"A few months before I moved back down, my son was being abused," McInvale said.

The child's aunt said the mother, Susan McInvale, tried to get a personal protection order against her husband James. But the family says a judge denied it

"(Police) stated that there isn't enough substantial evidence," Horle said. "But the thing is domestic abuse is not only physical, it's emotional, it's mental."
So what happened once the child was in Alabama?

"My ex-girlfriend says it was an accident," James McInvale said.

FOX 2: "Do you believe her?"

"I don't know honestly," McInvale said. "I said why didn't you tell the police, she said because she was scared."

McInvale says he was out of the house fixing a flat tire when the baby was hurt. He says his ex-girlfriend was watching baby Gene.

"She told me he hit his head on the side of the bedroom door," he said.

Note the change from "said" to "told"--this is inconsistent and may indicate deception on the part of the subject.  

The next morning, he said Gene wouldn't eat.

"I tried to give him a bottle," McInvale said. "And he won't take a bottle from me and that is when he collapsed in my arms."

That's when he was admitted and Susan McInvale was notified to come to come down  to Alabama.

"I took him from her, she knew about it," James McInvale said. "She didn't do anything to get him back."

It was the mother who ultimately decided to end life support, fearing there no hope for recovery.

Now the child's aunt is hoping police in Alabama will focus the investigation on the father.

"He's a monster," Horle said. "I'm glad he's in Alabama and if he gets prosecuted he will get the death penalty. I hope he fries for it."

Dadeville Police Department investigators have arrested a 23-year-old man who they believe caused injuries on Christmas Day that left his 4-month-old son on life support.

James Edward McInvale Jr., 23, of Davis Circle in Jacksons Gap is in the Tallapoosa County Jail, charged with second-degree domestic violence assault and aggravated child abuse. 

A judge has set the total bond for McInvale at $250,000.

Investigators say that they were called to a residence on Christmas Day in response to an unresponsive 4-month-old child.  

There they found a child with injuries so severe that he was flown to Children’s Medical Center in Birmingham.

Dadeville Police Department Assistant Chief Chris Martin would not elaborate on the injuries the child suffered, only saying the boy suffered multiple injuries.

“This is an ongoing investigation and it wouldn’t be proper to give any further details,” Martin said. “But I will say that that this is one of the worst cases I have ever seen and I will leave it at that.”

Information reported by family members said that as of late Monday, the child was in grave condition and on life support. 

Officials at Children’s Medical Center said Monday night that they had no information on the child that could be released.

While family members contacted did not have any additional information about the child’s condition, social media posts in the hundreds asked for continued prayers for the little boy.

Martin would not comment on what evidence led to the arrest on the infant’s father or any details of how the injuries may have occurred.

“Due to the investigative discoveries and uncovered evidence in the case, an arrest has been made and the charges are what we have at this time,” Martin said.

“That’s not to say that things couldn’t change if circumstances dictate. The case is still ongoing and being vigorously investigated at this point.”

No additional information was released, but a search of court records showed that McInvale has guilty pleas from 2012 for harassing communications 

and promotion of prison contraband. Records indicate that he received probation on those charges.

The Habit of Liars: Bill Cosby on the Attack

I often struggle to get others to have a clear vision of what damage a liar brings.   By the time someone believes me, or even the statistics I present, it is too late:  the damage has been done.

Liars put their own selves before others and will do irreparable harm to the lives and companies they are associated with.

Rather than outright lie and say, "I didn't do it", they will attack the accuser.

We saw this with Lance Armstrong and we see it in liars.  Rather than deny the message, they attack the credibility of the messenger.

They do this because they have a need to do so.

Attacking the messenger is not always wrong, but when it supplants the reliable denial, it enters into a different category.  The source can sometimes reveal the motive.

In the case of Bill Cosby, Statement Analysis of one of his accusers showed veracity:  he did it.

There may be others who will falsely accuse him, and there may be other victims who remain silent.  We allow the subject's own words to guide us.

Statement Analysis deals with what one says; but it also deals with what one does not say.

Bill Cosby did not deny the allegations.  If he won't, why should we?

Cosby’s private investigators dig up dirt to discredit rape accusers

Bill Cosby has hired a battalion of private investigators to dig up dirt on his many accusers, The Post has learned.

The comedian, fighting an onslaught of accusations that he sexually assaulted more than two dozen women over many years, is paying six-figure fees to private investigators for information that might discredit his alleged victims.

Multiple sources confirmed that Cosby, through his Hollywood attorney Martin Singer, is implementing a scorched-earth strategy in which anything negative in his accusers’ pasts is fair game. 

At least one Glendale, Calif.-based firm with a half-dozen former LAPD detectives on staff is muckraking for Cosby, a source said.

“If you’re going to say to the world that I did this to you, then the world needs to know, ‘What kind of person are you? Who is this person that’s saying it?’ ” Cosby told his legal and public-relations team at a recent meeting, according to an insider who was present.

“You can’t say that I put something in your coffee, threw you in a cab and then you go on and live a high-profile life, a famous life and you never complain,” Cosby said, referring to supermodel Beverly Johnson, who claimed “America’s Dad” spiked her cappuccino during a visit to his home in the 1980s, the source said. “You mean you never reported it to the police? You never tell anyone?”

The source continued: “The strategy isn’t new and it’s quite simple: You say I’m a bad guy, well, let’s see what gives you the right to throw a stone at my house when your home is also made of glass.”

Another source, who has worked with Cosby for at least a decade, confirmed the alleged legal strategy.

“It’s sort of worked to some degree already,” that source said. “They were able to find out information about Beverly Johnson’s boyfriend who said she only had good things to say about Cosby. We found out that Beverly never told her live-in lover of several years what she’s now telling the media and we found that to be strange.”

The insider said they’ve also been able to dig up information on another accuser — Katherine McKee, an ex-girlfriend of the late Sammy Davis Jr. who said Cosby raped her in the 1970s. 

The comedian’s investigators were immediately able to dig up internet posts in which McKee allegedly praised Cosby’s stand-up act and wrote glowingly of him. 

They also discovered a published interview in which she said she is “used to lying.”

Singer refused to address the hiring of private detectives but said Cosby has not been able to rely on the press to be fair.

“You [the media] don’t need private investigators to find out information about the accusers. A simple Google search will obtain the information,” Singer said.

Here is a statement from social media regarding a fire.  Note sensitivity as to "why" certain actions were taken.   This is found in the word "to"; 

but also note the pronouns.  Pronouns do not lie.  A married couple using the plural pronouns is indicative of a change in situation.   Note "our" house, though "my" cat.  Note "our" bedroom, but "my" girls and "my kids".... When a married couple has "our" bedroom, divorce may have been discussed.  Most married people say "the bedroom" instead of "our." 

Note use of divinity.  

Note the distancing language of "you" when it should be "I."

Note the emotions in the "perfect" part of the story:  a signal that they have been 

placed there artificially, as part of story telling rather than reporting of fact.  It takes humans

time to process emotions, which is why they are more likely to be 

found in the "after" part of the account, not in the midst of the action. 

Note the need to disparage the fire department as "volunteer"

Note the need to persuade, rather than truthfully report.

In the Gospels, Christ said, "Truly, Truly..." or "Verily, Verily" in some statements, but not in others.

Missing Boyfriend: Plea for Return

The girlfriend of a man who went missing after a Christmas night out almost ten days ago has made a video plea for him to come home. 

Patrick Lamb, 28, was last seen at about 12.30am on December 13 after a night out in Bar Chocolate in Maidstone, Kent.

Specialist police divers have been searching the River Medway in Kent but have so far found nothing to suggest he was there.

Natasha Morgan, 28, has made a tearful video pleading with her boyfriend Patrick Lamb, 28, to return home after he went missing following a Christmas night out in Maidstone in Kent almost 10 days ago

Natasha Morgan, 28, has uploaded a video to YouTube and set up a website in a bid for Mr Lamb to come home. 

In the video Natasha is close to tears throughout the minute-long clip as she begs her boyfriend to make contact.

She tells him: 'Pat, if you're listening, I love you so much. Please come home to me.

'It doesn't what's happened or if you feel embarrassed or if you think you've done something wrong. It really doesn't matter.

'You know I forgive everything anyway. I love you much and I just need you safe.

'I need your help with everything. I need you in my life, I need you to look after me. Please let me look after you now.

Specialist police diving teams have been searching the River Medway but found nothing on Friday 

'Please come home, please don't do anything. I love you so much.'

Miss Morgan, a retail manager and dancer, said Mr Lamb, a broadcast engineer, would be unlikely to leave his two year-old nephew Harry Lamb who is currently suffering with leukaemia.

She said she is worried her boyfriend has died but has made the video because there are no clues in the investigation.

Police flew over a specialist sonar device from Ireland to scan the river for any signs of Mr Lamb, who lives in Greenhithe, Kent. Divers went in after an area of interest was indicated, but found nothing.

'At the moment police are going through CCTV, but we've heard nothing for over a week. I'm so frightened he's dead.

'But the fact that nothing was found in the river is hopeful.

'At the moment we are all totally clueless as to what might have happened but I'm hoping the video may make a bit of difference, I have to do something.

'If he is alive I'm hoping the video will make him realise he will come home and everything will be OK.

'We've got lots of CCTV so we are going through that and last week we search the river Medway.'

A specialist search dog from NSARDA (National Search & Rescue Dog Association) was also being used today to search in areas inaccessible to people.

A spokesperson for Kent Search and Rescue said: 'We have got a search dog out at the moment.

'It has been out since 7.30am and will continue to search throughout the day. We will be heading down to the hotel where Pat was meant to be staying.

'We have also had teams analysing over 500 photos that were obtained from the spotter plane. We have picked out anything in the images that is unusual and going back to that point.

'Search boats will also be back on the water later today.'

Analyzing Tweets: 2 NYC Police Executed

Statement Analysis is applied to Tweets, text messages and emails.  

Melissa Mark Viverito is counsel speaker closely associated with Mayor DeBlasio and these tweets are about the execution of two police officers.  Police and the Mayor's office are at odds. 

Mark -Viverito  sent two tweets about the NYC police officers executed.  Statement Analysis follows the same principles, noting a baseline.  If, for example, one tweets without pronouns, then the norm is "no pronouns"; yet if one tweet uses a pronoun and the other does not, this should be noted.  

The pronoun "I" is used in the first one, but not in the second.  Note Statement Analysis following:

We note that in this tweet, the pronoun "I" is used twice.

We also note that tweets are short and abbreviated, therefore additional wording is to be considered very important.

Note the additional word of "truly" with "horrified."

This shows sensitivity about being "horrified." Why would one's one horror at the execution of two police officers need emphasis with "truly", as if it would not be believed?

This is a weakness.

Here we have the same subject sending a second message to the public, yet there is no pronoun used. This would appear to show distance between the writer and the message. Above, she was "truly" horrified, as if one might not believe her horror, and she was praying for the officers and their families. This prayer needed no emphasis.

Yet, in the 2nd message, she uses no pronouns. One might expect the pronoun "we" (or even stronger, "I") given that she is aid to Mayor DeBlasio.

The second tweet has no ownership via pronoun usage.

The relationship between the mayor's office and police is not good, as seen here in the distancing language, from the mayoral side.

Police turn their back on de Blasio

A blue wall of silently seething police officers turned their backs on Mayor de BlasioSaturday night — literally.

As the mayor and his entourage snaked through a jammed third-floor corridor at Woodhull Hospital, where two officers had been pronounced dead just hours earlier, scores of grieving cops faced the walls — and away from the leader they believe has failed them.

Earlier, de Blasio approached a cluster of cops at the Brooklyn Hospital and offered, “We’re all in this together.”

“No we’re not,” an officer replied tersely, according to a cop who witnessed the icy scene.

The rank-and-file’s anger at the mayor was palpable citywide.

“It’s f–king open season on us right now,” one officer said. “When is he going to step up?”

Speaking moments after the bodies of Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were driven away, as hundreds of cops stood at somber attention, Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch said, “There’s blood on many hands tonight.”

“That blood . . . starts on the steps of City Hall, in the Office of the Mayor,” he said.

Just last week, cops began signing a “Don’t Insult My Sacrifice” waiver, distributed by the PBA, that warned the mayor and speaker to stay away from funerals of cops killed in the line of duty.

It is not known if the officers slain Saturday had signed the waiver. which singles out de Blasio and Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito for their “consistent refusal to show police officers the support and respect they deserve.”

Many cops said they blame deBlasio for helping to create a climate of distrust in cops that has turned them into targets.

They pointed to Hizzoner just last week calling an assault by Brooklyn Bridgeprotesters on two NYPD lieutenants an ­“alleged” assault, even as dramatic video of the attack emerged.

De Blasio revealed in an ABC News interview earlier this month that he and First Lady Chirlane McCray had instructed their biracial son, Dante, about the “dangers” that police pose.

But just moments after the stunning cold shoulder in the hospital hallway, de Blasio wiped away tears at a press conference in which he spoke of meeting the families and praying “over the bodies of these two officers.”

“When a police officer is murdered it tears at the foundation of our society,” he said. “It is an attack on all of us, on everything we hold dear … Therefore every New Yorker should feel they too were attacked, our entire city was attacked, by this heinous individual.”

Answering a question about the politics at play in the wake of the tragedy, he said it was a “time to think about these families. I don’t think it’s a time for politics or ­political analysis. It’s a time to think about families that just lost their father, their husband, their son.”

Mark-Viverito, who accompanied the mayor to the hospital, tweeted earlier that she was “truly horrified” by the shooting and was praying for the officers and their families. Five minutes later, she tweeted: “Zero tolerance for any act of violence against police officers who protect & serve our city.”

Vernon Geberth, a retired NYPD homicide lieutenant who wrote what is considered the detective’s bible, “Practical Homicide Investigation,’’ was unmoved.

“De Blasio’s comments have given license to the anti-police activists and thugs to attack the police,” he said. “His comments have been absolutely despicable. Telling his son he should be afraid of the police? I’m not surprised these two police officers have been assassinated as a direct result of de Blasio’s comments.”
